Men and women enjoy good relationship and most of women take prominent role in running the family affair than men in Panodi area. We observe that most of the family prefers the boy than girl child. A girl child is given in marriage at the age of 15 to 16 years. Most of the marriages expenses are meet by the girl’s family. Thus it becomes very expensive and non-affordable for the parents of girl children. In such situation they take loan from the land lords or from the bank. At times they are not able to pay back the loan on due time. Thus child marriage still exists. People live in peace and harmony with each other irrespective of their religion and practices. Employment is the urgent need of the place. Most of the parents give good education to their children but no job facilities in the villages and they move to the cities in search of employment. They get settled either in Nashik or Pune and aging parents are left to themselves and once in a while their children or grandchildren visit them and meet their needs.
