No congregation was in this particular area and the then Parish Priest of the Church of Annunciation and the Correspondent of Roman Catholic Mission (R.C.M ) School, Rev.Fr.Mathew Kottooparambil invited the sisters to take up the administration of the English Medium School and to teach there. Spiritual orientation among the staff and students and of the parish people were a felt need. Sr.Lucil as the principal of the school and Sr.Anisha as the Primary in charge began their mission in RCM school. Agreement was made between the Madras Mylapore diocese and Holy Cross Congregation, South Province India for this collaborative venture. Many sisters came and rendered their service. Due to some unfavorable situation in January 2015 we had to discontinue our service for some time. After the gap of 5 years we resumed our service in RCM school. Two sisters are appointed in RCM school – one as the Headmistress, the other as a teaching sister.

Most of the people residing at Avadi parish are from different part of Tamil Nadu, Andhra and Kerala. The main concerns of the people were to earn for their life and to give good education to their children. People desired a life based on values and inculcated Christian faith in their children. People from North India are also engaged in various works especially in the construction sites.
